About This Event
Maajela draw on sounds from South Asia, the Middle East and Africa for what OzAsia describes as a bold and emotionally powerful blend of Desi-psych rock.
The project takes its influence from Hindustani and Carnatic music, Sufi traditions, Afrobeat and Anatolian rock, aiming to create a powerful celebration across those traditions. Catch their immersive live set on the OzAsia Festival Stage at Lucky Dumpling Market in Elder Park.
One performance only, 7:30pm–8:30pm on Friday 23 October. Admission is free — the entire OzAsia Festival 2026 programme is free.
