About This Event
منّت mannat is an immersive moving image collaboration by Naina Sen, Naveed Farro and Harrison Hall reimagining the cultural connections between West and South Asia. Inspired by the communal and secular atmosphere of the courtyard of the Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya Dargah, a significant Sufi shrine in Delhi, the work celebrates the pluralistic, contemporary legacies of Indo-Persian architecture and Sufi poetry, dance and Qawwali music.
The work is the third and final AFF/Samstag Expand $100,000 Moving Image Commission, developed at Adelaide Film Festival's Expand Lab 2024.
On display 9 October – 4 December 2026 in Gallery 2, Samstag Museum of Art, 55 North Terrace. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am–5pm. The 40-minute work runs on a continuous loop. Free admission; not ticketed and no booking required.
