About This Event
The Telugu Association of South Australia (TASA) marks Saddula Bathukamma, the grand finale of the nine-day Bathukamma festival, on Sunday 18 October 2026 from 3pm to 10pm at The Denison Centre, Mawson Lakes. Themed 'Celebrating Womanhood', the day sees women and families in traditional attire arrange Bathukamma flower stacks from seasonal blooms, offer them with traditional prayers and songs, and dance around the arrangements.
The programme includes dhol tasha, a floral arrangement workshop, dandiya/DJ and complimentary snacks, tea and dinner. The festival concludes with the immersion of the Bathukamma, a gesture of gratitude to nature and a prayer for the health and prosperity of families and the community.
