About This Event

A Grand Auspicious Festival

Chinmaya Mission Brisbane warmly invites you and your family to be part of this grand and sacred celebration of Bhagavad Geeta Jayanti and Swami Tapovan Jayanti. The festival centres on the chanting of the entire Bhagavad Geeta (18 chapters) along with Swami Tapovan Maharaj Paduka Pooja, creating a powerful atmosphere of devotion, reflection, and collective spiritual upliftment.

Why These Festivals Are Celebrated

Bhagavad Geeta Jayanti commemorates the divine moment when Lord Krishna shared his immortal teachings with Prince Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, teachings that became the Bhagavad Geeta — one of the most influential Hindu scriptures, revered for its philosophical, practical, psychological, political, and spiritual depth.

The day also honours Pujya Swami Tapovan Maharaj, the revered master who imparted the highest knowledge of the Self to Swami Chinmayananda, making this celebration both a scriptural and guru-parampara offering.

  • Pooja for Bhagavad Geeta Mayya and Swami Tapovanji Maharaj
