About This Event

The Bengali Society of Queensland (BSQ) holds its Durga Pujo 2026 over three days, Friday 16 to Sunday 18 October 2026, at Coorparoo Secondary College, 4 Cavendish Road, Coorparoo. The dates line up with the main pujo tithis of Sharad Navratri 2026, running from Maha Shashthi on 16 October through to Maha Ashtami on 18 October.

BSQ is a non-profit multicultural society that has been keeping Bengali and Indian culture alive in Queensland for more than 25 years through cultural, social, sporting and charitable events. It has roughly 300 members drawn from about 150 families, and government dignitaries and members of other communities regularly attend its events. Durga Puja is its flagship gathering and has drawn a total headcount of over 2,500 people across its three days.

The society's 2026 calendar also lists Lokkhi Pujo on 24 October and Diwali on 14 November, both at Coorparoo Secondary College, and Saraswati Pujo on Saturday 13 February 2027.

Daily start and finish times, the cultural programme, bhog and food arrangements and any entry or registration charges have not been published on the BSQ site. For details, or check the Bengali Society of Queensland Facebook group.
