Vinayakar Chathurthy Festival 2026 - Sri Selva Vinayakar Koyil

Hindu Ahlaya Sangam Qld Inc invites devotees to the Vinayakar Chathurthy Festival at Sri Selva Vinayakar Koyil (Ganesha Temple), South Maclean, on Monday 14 September 2026. The festival is built around Maha Ganapathy Homam and 108 Sangabishekam, the temple's principal Chaturthi rites.

The published festival programme runs: 9:00 AM Special Pooja to Lord Ganesha; 4:30 PM Sankalpam (Homam and 108 Sangabishekam); 6:30 PM Maha Deepa Arathanai; 7:00 PM Special Vasantha Mandapa Pooja; 7:30 PM Lord Vinayakar Circumambulation of the inner and outer veedhi (pathway); and Annathanam, a free dinner, from 6:30 PM onwards. The temple is open 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM on the day for swamy dharshanam.

HASQ encourages devotees to sponsor a Homam and/or a Conch for the Sangabishekam, as numbers are limited and only sponsors may take part in the Homam and Sangabhisekam. Sponsorship is $101 for participation in the Homam and $51 for a conch; donations of any amount are welcome.
