About This Event
The Bengali Association of Western Australia's flagship Annual Cultural Programme returns on Saturday 12 September 2026, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Bengal through an evening of performances by talented community members of all ages.
The programme features music, dance, recitation, drama and other artistic presentations celebrating the spirit and traditions of Bengali culture. Highlights of the evening include a Shruti Natok (audio drama), two short plays performed by adults, a children's play, and a variety of musical performances. In keeping with BAWA's commitment to fostering cultural diversity and community engagement, other community organisations have also been invited to take part, further enriching the multicultural character of the night.
The evening runs from 5:00pm to 9:30pm at the Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre, 48 Canning Road, Kalamunda. Registration is via the link on BAWA's event page or by scanning the QR code printed on the poster. The expression-of-interest window for community members wanting to perform closed on 12 July 2026.
