About This Event
Swan Community Garba Night 2026 is a free, family-friendly Gujarati celebration hosted by the Brabham Gujarati Community Club (BGCC) in the Beechboro area of Perth's Swan district, running from 6:00pm to 11:00pm on Saturday 3 October 2026.
Garba is a community circle dance in which people of all ages come together, clap, move in rhythm and celebrate as one group. Beginners are welcome - free learning sessions run on the night so everyone feels confident enough to join in, and you can dance at your own pace. The energy builds through the evening, usually moving from Garba into the faster Dandiya Raas danced with sticks.
Expect colourful traditional outfits, live music with high-energy beats, and a mass community dance floor where hundreds dance together in circles. The organisers stress a welcoming and inclusive environment for all cultures and age groups, with a family-friendly atmosphere and strong community support.
Unlike many large Navratri events, this is a completely free community celebration, which the organisers say reflects the spirit of the City of Swan. The exact Beechboro venue had not been announced at the time of listing, so check the organiser's event page closer to the date.
