About This Event
The BAPS Kids Diwali Celebration (KDC) is a family event celebrating Indian culture and Hindu traditions, where children learn the meaning of Diwali through creativity, stories and the spirit of seva (selfless service). The Sydney celebration is held at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Hindu Mandir and Cultural Precinct in Kemps Creek from 1:00pm on Saturday 31 October 2026.
Attractions across KDC centres include engaging activities, face painting, costumed characters, a traditional Diwali show, fireworks, cultural experiences, food, educational exhibitions and games; the organisers note attractions vary by centre.
Inspired by Pramukh Swami Maharaj's words 'In the joy of others lies our own', the event aims to help children grow spiritually, spread kindness and become lights in their communities. Registration is online.
