About This Event
Bayside Council's Diwali Festival returns to King Street Mall, Rockdale, for a night celebration featuring dazzling light displays, authentic cuisine and cultural performances showcasing the richness of Indian culture.
The festival programme includes Bollywood dancing, traditional cultural performances, henna art, craft workshops, rangoli displays, authentic Indian cuisine and sweet treats, Diwali-themed children's activities, as well as dhol drummers and roaming entertainers. Residents and visitors are encouraged to dress in their brightest colours and immerse themselves in an authentic Diwali experience.
To accommodate the festivities, Market Street, King Street and King Lane in Rockdale will be closed to traffic during the event. Rockdale Train Station and nearby bus stops are a short walk from the festival site, and attendees are encouraged to use public transport where possible.
