About This Event
Diwali comes to Little India, Harris Park, with a free street festival that transforms Wigram Street into a celebration of food, culture, entertainment, shopping and community. AMA Event Management is running the 2026 event, and the published programme covers live music and entertainment, cultural dance performances, food and sweets, market stalls, kids’ activities and family fun, with lights and colour through the afternoon and into the evening.
Harris Park is one of Sydney’s most recognised destinations for South Asian food, business and culture, which makes Wigram Street the natural setting for a Festival of Lights celebration — past editions of the Harris Park Diwali have drawn tens of thousands of people across the strip.
The event runs 1:00pm to 9:00pm and entry is free. Stallholder and food-vendor bookings are open through TryBooking; a diverse mix is being sought, including Indian and South Asian food vendors, street food, desserts and sweets, fashion and traditional clothing, jewellery, henna and beauty services, gifts and handicrafts, community organisations and local businesses.
