About This Event

Celebrate Holi at Sydney’s most iconic waterfront venue

Holi Festival Sydney brings the Festival of Colours to Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour, with Sydney CBD’s skyline as your backdrop. The festival is all about “unity in diversity”—bringing communities together to celebrate with colour, culture, music and unforgettable shared moments.

This listing is for Day 1 of the two-day Holi Festival extravaganza.

What you’ll experience

Expect an all-day (and evening) celebration featuring:

  • Lots & lots of Holi colours
  • Music, DJs, and dancing all around you
  • Food and drinks across many cuisines
  • Multicultural live performances
  • Giveaways and heaps of crowd engagement

Bring your positive energy, sway to the beats, and “paint the town” with joy, love, and nostalgia—this is designed as a fun-filled family day out you’ll be talking about for weeks.

Holi After Dark (UV Edition)

As evening approaches, the festival levels up with Holi After Dark—a special experience featuring:

  • UV lights
  • Glow-in-the-dark colours
  • Light shows
  • Special performances
  • Professional face/body painting for standout designs

Ticket styles (as described by the organiser)

General entry is described as free, with registration required, and there are also paid options aimed at comfort and perks:

  • Free entry with timed sessions (queues can be unpredictable at peak times)
  • Guaranteed/Express Entry via a dedicated entry lane
  • VIP All-Day Access with extra inclusions and flexible re-entry
  • Holi After Dark ticketed UV session
  • Maharaja Pass premium “all-access” experience with exclusive perks and flexible entry/exit

Extra flavour from the festival crew
