About This Event
The SAAA Hindi School holds its annual Indian Independence Day celebration - India's 79th - on Sunday 16 August 2026, from 9:30am to 12:30pm at St George Girls High School, Victoria Street, Kogarah.
The morning belongs to the school's students: singing, dancing, poetry recitations and speeches, presented as a reflection of the school's progress in keeping Hindi and Indian culture alive for the next generation. Food is available on site and there are activities for children, so it works well as a family outing.
Entry is free, all ages are welcome, and there is free parking at the venue. Free tickets are released through Eventbrite: registrations opened on 25 July 2026 and close at 9:30am on the day of the event, and you can book up to twenty tickets in a single order, which makes it easy for extended families and friends to come together.
SAAA is the South Asian Australian Association Inc., which runs the South Asian Hindi School with campuses at Schofields, Kogarah and Parramatta.
