About This Event

Lagna Panchami is a Marathi-language comedy about two completely different individuals brought together through an unexpected marriage. What follows is a journey of humour, emotion, everyday chaos and sharp observations on relationships; beneath the laughter the play explores companionship, adjustment and the idea that in real life understanding and patience often matter more than love alone. Premier Tickets describes it as contemporary, family-friendly and relatable for global Indian audiences.

The cast is Swapnil Joshi, Amruta Khanvilkar, Madhugandha Kulkarni and Sunil Abhyankar. Written by Madhugandha Kulkarni, directed by Nipun Dharmadhikari, with music by Tanmay Bhide. The play is performed in Marathi and is listed as suitable for all age groups.

Doors open at 3:00pm for a 3:30pm start on Saturday 8 August 2026 at the Science Theatre (Building F13), University Mall, UNSW Sydney, Kensington. Tickets are $69.00 onwards through Premier Tickets, sold as a single SILVER tier; a booking fee may be levied per ticket, so confirm the total before payment. Tickets are non-refundable and no exchanges or cancellations are available. Bring a printed ticket confirmation for scanning plus valid photo ID. Presented by Hridayesh Entertainment & Media Pty Ltd.
