Laksh Maheshwari - Ishq Sufiana (Live in Sydney)

Ishq Sufiyana is a musical storytelling show performed single-handedly by Laksh Maheshwari, paying tribute to the poetry and philosophies of Sufi saints such as Amir Khusrow, Bulleh Shah and Kabir.

Laksh weaves together the narratives of these figures, unravelling their stories of love, spirituality and self-discovery as he takes the audience through the mystic realm of Sufism. The evening closes with his retelling of the tragic, timeless love story of Laila Majnu, along with legendary songs from that tale - an immersive experience where stories meet songs, and the divine and the romantic intertwine for a night of ehsaas and ruhaniyat. The show is performed in Hindi.

It runs on Friday 11 September 2026 at Comedy Store Too, 122 Lang Rd, Moore Park NSW 2021. This is the 6:45 PM performance; the Comedy Store also lists a separate 9:00 PM show, Khushiyan, which is a different performance with different material. Seating is unreserved at $54.95 per ticket, booked through TicketSearch from the Comedy Store listing.

The Sydney date is presented by The Laughter Factory and Marching Elephants Entertainment. The Comedy Store box office can be reached on 02 7208 4484.
