Mehfil-e-Rooh 2026 — Unplugged Night (Sydney)

The biggest musical collaboration of its kind is coming to Sydney. UTS Pakistan Society, Sarhad Project, Sydney Baithak, Pritpal Singh and AIEC present the 5th edition of Unplugged Night, returning in 2026 as MEHFIL-E-ROOH at the iconic UTS Great Hall. A night where music knows no borders, cultures come together, and every voice becomes part of the mehfil: 19+ musicians, five countries, one stage.

Headlining the evening is Sarhad Project, a powerful 10-member Sufi-rock ensemble bringing together musicians from different backgrounds and musical traditions, alongside Pritpal Singh and band, an accomplished artist whose repertoire flows between Sufi, classical and contemporary Indian music. The stage will also spotlight talented local and emerging artists, creating a space where the next generation of South Asian musicians can perform, connect and be heard.

Designed as an exclusive friends-and-family musical gathering, Mehfil-e-Rooh is an evening for students, families, professionals and the wider community to sit together, listen, sing along and celebrate the diversity of South Asian music.
