Navaratri Festival 2026 (Chinmaya Mission Sydney)

Chinmaya Mission Australia (Sydney) invites you and your family to celebrate Navaratri at Chinmaya Sannidhi Ashram in Castle Hill. The evening centres on a pooja for the Divine Mother in the form of Shree Maha Saraswati Devi, the Mother of Knowledge, and finishes on the dance floor.

The published programme is 7.30pm Navaratri Pooja with Veda chanting; 8.10pm bhajans, arati and a talk; and 8.35pm dandiya and garba with prasad. Everyone can take part — come dressed for the occasion with your family. Sevas are open for those who wish to contribute: Pooja Seva as a yajman (contact Nandu 0408 445 941), Prasad Seva if you would like to cook a special dish to offer Devi Ma and share with devotees, Flower and Garland Seva (contact Uma 0430 281 319), and Cleaning Seva before and after the festival.

Entry is free but registration through TryBooking is required and closes 7pm on 10 October. Parking at the back of the ashram at 38 Carrington Rd will be restricted because of the dandiya and garba; free parking is available at 40 Carrington Rd (do not park between APAC bays 20 and 40), with paid parking at the Hills Showground Metro Station public car park.
