About This Event
Night of Qawwali Live in Sydney 2026 was an evening of live qawwali at the Bryan Brown Theatre & Function Centre in Bankstown, presented by the Australian Qawwal Party. The concert celebrated the qawwali tradition in its full live form - soaring lead and answering vocals, driving harmonium and tabla, hand-clapping rhythm and the long, building repetitions that carry a qawwali audience through devotion and ecstasy.
The show ran on Saturday 25 July 2026 from 7:00pm in a fully seated theatre, with patrons choosing their own seats online at the time of booking. Two ticket categories were sold: Silver at $50 for tiered seating and Gold at $75 for premium tiered seating. Both categories sold out. A 2% service fee and a 1.9% credit card fee applied on top of the ticket price, and the organiser's terms allowed no refunds or exchanges.
The Bryan Brown Theatre & Function Centre is a Canterbury-Bankstown Council venue on the corner of Rickard and Chapel Roads in central Bankstown, a short walk from Bankstown railway station and bus interchange, with council parking adjacent. Tickets were sold through Dry Tickets (Dryfa Group Pty Ltd).
