About This Event
The Western Sydney Malayalee Association (WeSMA) invites the community to Onam 2026, a multicultural evening celebrating Kerala's harvest festival and the cultural heritage of the Malayali community in Western Sydney. It runs from 4:00pm on Saturday 22 August 2026 at the Redgum Function Centre in Wentworthville.
The programme features traditional Kerala music, dance and entertainment, showcasing the artistic expression that makes Onam special, alongside performances that reflect the wider multicultural make-up of Western Sydney. WeSMA frames the night as a chance to come together, celebrate diversity and share the warmth of friendship and cultural pride.
Entry is free and everyone is welcome, but seating is limited and the association asks anyone planning to attend to reserve a spot as early as possible. Bookings and enquiries go through https://www.wesma.org/contact-us or the organisers named on the event poster.
The traditional Onasadhya — the festive Kerala feast served on a banana leaf — is booked and paid for separately through WeSMA's catering partner at https://app.orgnyse.com.au/560/wesma-ponnonam-2026, not at the door. Book the sadhya ahead of the day if you want to eat.
