About This Event
Cook and share a colourful Indian vegetarian Thali, explore spices and balance, and connect through food and culture at this hands-on cooking workshop at Ngutungka Henley in Adelaide's beachside suburb of Henley Beach.
Part of The Shared Table: Cooking Cultures Together series organised by the City of Charles Sturt, this workshop celebrates the philosophy that food is an expression of love, nourishing the body, mind, and soul. Participants will learn about the six tastes (sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter, and astringent) that form the foundation of Indian Ayurvedic cooking, and prepare a complete vegetarian Thali together.
Cooking and sharing meals brings people together, creating space for connection, conversation, and community through shared experiences. The workshop runs from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Refunds available up to 2 days before the event.
