About This Event
Cook and share a colourful Indian vegetarian thali, explore spices and balance, and connect through food and culture at this three-hour hands-on workshop at Ngutungka Henley in Adelaide's beachside suburb of Henley Beach.
The session runs from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Saturday 8 August 2026. It is part of The Shared Table: Cooking Cultures Together series run by the City of Charles Sturt, built on the idea that food is an expression of love that nourishes the body, mind and soul, and that cooking and sharing meals creates space for connection, conversation and community.
The workshops in this series are inspired by the principles of Ayurvedic cooking, a holistic approach that recognises how food influences physical health, energy and wellbeing, and that seeks harmony by balancing flavours, colours, textures and spices. In this Indian edition, participants cook a vegetarian meal built around the traditional thali — a style of dining that brings together a variety of dishes representing the six tastes: sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent and astringent.
Tickets are $48.96 per person including Eventbrite fees, with refunds available up to 2 days before the event. Accessibility pre-visit information is published on the Eventbrite listing. PLEASE NOTE: this workshop is currently SOLD OUT.
