About This Event
Vishva Hindu Parishad of Australia (SA Chapter) hosts its Raksha Bandhan community celebration at the Fogolar Furlan club in Felixstow on Sunday 16 August 2026. Doors open at 9:00am, the programme runs from 9:30am to 1:00pm, and it includes the traditional rakhi ceremony and a community awards presentation.
The event is free and open to all South Australian Hindu community members and to members of HOTA Partner organisations - HOTA being VHP SA's Hindu Organisations, Temples and Associations Forum, its collaborative platform for Hindu institutions across the state. Families and friends of the award winners are also welcome to attend, but an RSVP through Eventbrite is essential.
Pure vegetarian, Jain-friendly snacks and lunch will be served. The dress code is traditional or business formal. The gathering runs about three and a half hours and is suitable for all ages. Street parking is available around the venue at 69 Briar Road, Felixstow, roughly 7km north-east of the Adelaide CBD.
