About This Event
Thumka Events marks India's Independence Day with a rooftop party at The Beaumont Brisbane in Fortitude Valley on Saturday 15 August 2026, running from 9:30pm through to 3:00am. The night is set on the rooftop with the city skyline as the backdrop.
The programme is built around pan-India DJ sets, a rooftop parade moment, a tricolour face-paint and tattoo bar, and rooftop photo booths, all themed around tricolour pride and Bollywood beats.
Entry is strictly 18+ and a valid original photo ID is required — the organisers state plainly "NO ID, NO ENTRY". Expect tight security and a managed check-in. Tickets are non-refundable.
Tickets are sold through Eventbrite in timed releases: early bird from 1 to 6 August, first release 7 to 9 August, second release 10 to 12 August, final release 13 to 14 August, and a higher door price on the day, 15 August. Eventbrite's listing puts the range at roughly $15.95 to $31.37 including fees depending on which release you buy into, so booking early is materially cheaper.
The venue is at 608 Ann Street, Fortitude Valley QLD 4006, a short walk from Fortitude Valley station and the Brunswick Street mall. Paid parking is available nearby; the organisers recommend planning your transport as the event runs past 3:00am.
