About This Event
Brihan Maharashtra Mandal Queensland (BRIMMQ) holds its Lord Ganesh Festival at the Rocklea Showgrounds on Sunday 20 September 2026. The organiser's own TryBooking event page gives the session time as 2:00pm to 9:00pm; the Rocklea Showgrounds venue calendar shows a wider 11:00am to 9:00pm block for the day, which is most likely the venue hire window rather than the public start.
The published programme is live entertainment, food stalls, amusement rides and fireworks. BRIMMQ is Queensland's Maharashtrian community association, formed to promote Marathi language and Maharashtrian culture in the state, and its Ganeshotsav celebration is one of its flagship community events of the year.
Tickets are handled through BRIMMQ's TryBooking page. As at late July 2026 that page was showing a waitlist rather than on-sale tickets or prices, so either join the waitlist to be contacted when seats are released or check back closer to the date. Rocklea Showgrounds sits on the corner of Ipswich Road and Goburra Street in Rocklea, roughly 10km south of the Brisbane CBD, with on-site parking and a train station a short walk away. Enquiries to BRIMMQ.
