About This Event
Bhartiya Samaj Inc presents Empowering People, Strengthening Queensland 2026, its flagship community event, on Sunday 2 August 2026 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Brisbane City Hall and the adjoining King George Square.
The day pairs a Multicultural Awards ceremony with a multinational cultural showcase - traditional dance and live performances from Queensland's diverse communities - alongside community workshops and information booths staffed by community and government organisations. Vendor and food stalls serve international cuisine, and there are activities laid on for children, so it is set up as a family day rather than a seated ceremony.
Entry is free, but a free ticket must be reserved in advance through TryBooking. At the time of checking, TryBooking showed no tickets remaining and offered only a waitlist form: you submit your name, phone and the number of tickets you want, and the organiser contacts you if seats are released. The advertised booking window closed on 31 July 2026.
Bhartiya Samaj Inc is based at 78 Splendour Street, Rochedale QLD 4123. For enquiries, including award nominations and stallholder applications, 0406 344 692.
