About This Event

ISKCON Brisbane marks the appearance day of Lord Balarama, the elder brother of Lord Krishna, with a temple programme on Friday 28 August 2026 starting at 4:30pm.

The celebration is held at the ISKCON Brisbane Temple, 8 Lee Road, Darra QLD 4076 - the Society's new premises, roughly a three-minute walk from Darra railway station, which took over from the former Ipswich Road site in early 2026. The date follows the Vaishnava calendar: Balarama Purnima falls on Shravana Purnima, which in 2026 is Friday 28 August, the same day as Raksha Bandhan.

The event is listed on the temple's official Upcoming Events & Festivals page. Entry is open to everyone and no ticket or admission charge is advertised. A finishing time and a detailed running order have not been published; ISKCON Brisbane usually posts the full programme closer to the day through its official channels, including its WhatsApp community, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

For programme details or to offer help on the day, contact the temple 07 3916 4876.
