About This Event
Lalitha Kalalaya School of Bharatanatyam presents Shivah Saktya Yukto – Margam 2.0, an evening of Indian classical dance at the Hillbrook Performing Arts Theatre in Enoggera on Saturday 26 September 2026. Doors open at 4:15pm for a 5:00pm start.
The production celebrates the divine union of Shiva and Shakti through Bharatanatyam, blending tradition, spirituality, rhythm and storytelling across a full classical margam. Expect graceful choreography, expressive performances, vibrant costumes and captivating music as the school's artists move through devotion, mythology and classical Indian heritage. It is programmed as an all-ages show, suited to anyone interested in dance, culture or the performing arts.
Lalitha Kalalaya is a Bharatanatyam institution teaching in Brisbane and Canberra, founded by Smt. Padmalakshmi Sriram, whose stated mission is promoting Indian culture through the medium of dance.
Tickets start at $25 through Premier Tickets. A separate food-option ticket adds a vegetarian dinner of vegetable pulav with paneer curry, available only to ticket holders who buy that option. Children under 3 are free but are not allocated a seat. Food is not permitted inside the auditorium at any time. All tickets are non-refundable — no refunds, exchanges or cancellations, including if the event is postponed — and booking fees are non-refundable. Bring your printed ticket confirmation plus photo ID for scanning at the door.
