About This Event
Hosted by DesiKanGroove, The Grand Diwali at Eat Street brings a large-scale festival of lights to Eat Street Northshore on Monday 5 October 2026 — a Queensland public holiday. Doors open at 3:45pm and the event runs 4:00pm to 9:00pm.
The riverside venue is lit with more than 50,000 lights and runs three stages of continuous entertainment with over 100 performers. The programme covers cultural dance performances, live music and DJs, live dhol beats, a multicultural fashion show and dance workshops. A Grand Indian Bazaar sits alongside 25+ food and cultural stalls serving authentic Indian food, plus rangoli art and mehndi/henna artists. It is billed as family-friendly and suitable for all ages, and is pitched at families, students and multicultural communities alike.
Tickets are tiered and sell up in price as each release goes: $10 presale, $15 early bird, $20 first release, $25 final release, and $35 on the door if any remain. The discounted tiers are limited, so booking early is materially cheaper. There are no refunds on this event.
Free parking is available on site for more than 1,500 cars. Sponsors, stallholders and performers are welcome to get in touch with DesiKanGroove on 0479 012 629.
