About This Event

Sanatan Samaj Australia invites devotees to the Shri Krishna Janmashtami (Prakatya) Mahotsav in Canberra on Friday 4 September 2026. In the organisers' words: "Salute to all the devotees of Lord Krishna! We extend our heartfelt invitation to all devotees to participate in the Shri Krishna Janmashtami (Prakatya) Mahotsav organized by Sanatan Samaj Australia on Friday 4th September 2026!"

The Mahotsav runs from 3:00pm through to 10:00pm at the Canberra Greyhound Racing Club function space in Symonston, spanning the afternoon and the traditional evening Janmashtami programme. Entry is free, with registration through Eventbrite.

This is a separate community celebration from the Hindu Temple & Cultural Centre's own Janmashtami programme on the same date — a different organiser at a different venue.
