Durga Puja 2026 - Bengali Society of Melbourne

The Bengali Society of Melbourne (BSM) holds its three-day Sri Sri Sarbojonin Durgotsav at the Werribee Racing Club, 2-10 Bulban Rd, Werribee, from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 October 2026. BSM calls it Melbourne's grandest Bengali festival celebration and expects more than 1,000 attendees across the three days.

The festival covers the traditional Durga Puja rituals along with cultural performances, authentic Bengali food and decorated pandal displays. In previous years BSM has sold food coupons separately through an online booking system rather than charging an entry fee; the 2026 daily programme, session timings and any coupon prices had not been published on bsm.org.au at the time of checking.

BSM is a not-for-profit Bengali community organisation founded in 2012 with more than 1,000 members across Victoria, set up to keep newer generations connected to Bengali cultural heritage. Beyond Durgotsav it runs Kali Puja and Deepavali, Saraswati Puja, Pohela Boishakh and Christmas/New Year celebrations, plus community service work including blood donation drives and tree planting with Wyndham City Council.

Sponsors can book their own stall at the venue for direct engagement with attendees., President Anup Singha 0403 617 375, or Vice President Pabitra Barman 0413 406 344.
