Melbourne Cobras vs Canberra Chill

Why Indian hockey fans should be there

The Melbourne Cobras were set up specifically to connect elite Australian hockey with the Indian community. For the 2026 Hockey One season, the club's men's and women's squads include nine current and recent Indian internationals. They include two-time Olympic bronze medallist Gurjant Singh and experienced India international Udita Duhan, alongside other Indian internationals and pathway players who have come from India for the competition. Former India stars Rupinder Pal Singh and Rani Rampal are franchise ambassadors.

It's a rare chance to watch India's hockey talent up close in Victoria, and a great family outing for the Punjabi and wider Indian community.
