About This Event
Melbourne Diwali 2026 is billed as Victoria's largest and most inclusive Festival of Lights celebration. It runs in the open-air Marvel Stadium Square at Docklands on Saturday 31 October 2026, from 2pm to 10pm. Entry is free and no ticket is needed; organisers ask people to register online in advance and the registration link opens closer to the date.
Across the eight hours the festival programmes more than 40 live performances of Indian dance, music and culture, and expects upwards of 25,000 people through the site. A food and market precinct of 60-plus stalls and vendors runs alongside the stages, and organisers are giving away more than $20,000 in prizes and raffles through the night. The site is described as weatherproof and family-friendly, and a stall-holder directory of participating businesses is being published in the lead-up.
Several festival partners are offering deals redeemable on the day: 20% off at Spice Bazaar Restaurant on a minimum $30 spend (code DIWALI20), a free 250g box of mithai from Saru Sweets with any purchase over $25 at their Marvel Stadium Square stall (code SWEET26), and a $49 family photo bundle of five edited prints plus a digital gallery from Glow Events Photography (code GLOW49, pre-booking required).
The 2026 stage programme, performer line-up and set times had not been published at the time of writing. The organisers +61 493 887 000.
