About This Event
Join the Friends of The Children Foundation for an in-person event celebrating the bond of Raksha Bandhan - honouring love, showing gratitude, and appreciating the community heroes who make a difference.
Raksha Bandhan means a knot of protection. Traditionally a sister ties a rakhi on her brother's wrist as a knot to protect her. But today our protectors also include SES and CFA volunteers, police officers and Ambulance Victoria staff, and on this day the Foundation honours those everyday protectors.
Come and share laughs, stories and heartfelt moments with friends and family. The afternoon doubles as a fundraiser for the Friends of The Children Foundation, working towards a $10,000 goal to buy medical equipment for Casey and Dandenong Hospital.
