About This Event
Gujarati folk singer Umesh Barot performs a live garba night in Melbourne, billed by the organisers as 'One night. One stage. One energy.' The programme is a full evening of live garba and raas with traditional Gujarati music and cultural entertainment, running from the evening through to midnight at Westgate Indoor Sports, on the corner of Grieve Parade and Doherty's Road in Altona North.
The event is presented as a not-for-profit night by Kedar Charitable Trust, with 100% of proceeds going to support local communities in Australia — the Trust's food and medical programs. Children under 7 attend free.
The venue is a large indoor sports stadium with an open floor, which suits garba circles rather than fixed seating. Tickets were sold through Flip Ticket; that listing has since been taken down, so the Facebook event page run by Kedar Charitable Trust is now the surviving source of truth for entry and pricing details. No published ticket tiers, prices or food/stall arrangements could be verified.
