About This Event
Sri Sai Siva Vishnu Temple in Truganina observes Varalakshmi Vritham on Friday 28 August 2026 at 7:00pm, with the pooja running to about 8:30pm and an annadhanam (community dinner) served afterwards. A Gayathri Japa Homa is held at the temple immediately beforehand, from 6:00pm to 7:00pm.
Varalakshmi Vratam is observed chiefly by women seeking the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi for the wellbeing of their families. The temple's notice says all are welcome.
Sponsorship of the pooja is A$101. Sponsors are asked to bring one deepam or diya, three thambalams (plates), flowers and kunkum, a small silk vastra (cloth), and fruits, betel leaves and nuts. Register and pay through the temple's events page, then show your payment confirmation at the temple counter on the day to receive your pooja items; all other pooja items are included in the sponsorship.
The temple is at 16 Sunline Drive, Truganina VIC 3029 and is open seven days, 9:00am to 12:00pm and 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Phone 03 8375 1506 or 0411 611 031.
