About This Event
Presented by Midland Junction Arts Centre and SwaraSynthesis, One World, Many Sounds is a two-evening celebration of cultural exchange led by award-winning Perth artist Avra Banerjee.
This listing is for the FIRST evening, Friday 11 September 2026, which dives into traditional ragas, rhythms and Indian musical heritage — an immersive programme of Hindustani and Carnatic music with dance and visual storytelling.
The second evening, Saturday 12 September, expands the same ensemble outward into jazz, global influences and contemporary intercultural collaboration.
SwaraSynthesis is a Perth-based contemporary world music ensemble that brings Indian classical traditions together with jazz, blues, Carnatic influences and diverse global sounds.
Doors and running time: performance starts 7:15 pm, running approximately 120 minutes.
