About This Event

Punjabi Mela Live in Perth 2026 is a daytime Punjabi fair and live music show on Sunday 9 August 2026 at the Serbian Community Centre in Kenwick. Doors open at 11:30am, the mela runs from 12:00pm to 6:00pm, and the bill is headlined by two of Punjab's best-known playback voices, Kulwinder Kally and Gurlej (Gurlez) Akhtar, performing a power-packed live set of their hit songs with bhangra energy throughout.

Billed by the organisers as a fair/mela rather than a seated concert, the afternoon combines the live performances with the usual mela mix of music, dance, food and family activities across the site. The event runs in Punjabi and is open to all age groups, so it is built for families as much as for music fans.

Tickets are sold through Premier Tickets and start at $20, which is the children's tier for ages 5 to 12; adult tickets cost more and the full tier list appears at checkout. A per-ticket booking fee may be levied, so confirm the total before paying. Tickets are non-refundable and there are no exchanges or cancellations once purchased. Bring a printed ticket confirmation for scanning at the door plus valid photo ID for verification. Presented by Urban Folk and Music. The venue is at 228 Kenwick Rd, Kenwick, about 15km south-east of the Perth CBD.
