About This Event
Opera Entertainment Australia brings the festival of lights to Prince Alfred Square for eight and a half hours of cultural activities, a staged Ramayan performance, live music and dance, and a full precinct of food, sweet and merchandise stalls. Entry is free for everyone, with cultural activities running through the afternoon and the main stage carrying live performances from the afternoon into the evening.
Entry is free, but the organisers ask everyone to register first — it takes about thirty seconds, helps them plan the day, and puts you in a draw for free tickets to Vinod Rathod Live in Concert plus sponsor giveaways. One registration covers your whole group, there is no ticket and no barcode, and you can also register at the gate on the day on your phone.
Prince Alfred Square sits in the middle of Parramatta, opposite Riverside Theatres; Parramatta station is a five-minute walk and the ferry wharf about ten minutes along the river. There is no parking at the square itself — the closest council car parks are Erby Place and Fennell Street. Paths are sealed and level throughout with accessible toilets nearby and seated shade areas near the main stage. Outside food and drink are not permitted, and this is an alcohol-free community event.
