About This Event
Sri Venkateswara Temple at Helensburgh runs a full-day Ganesh Visarjan programme, beginning at 8:00am with Kalasa Pooja and the Ganapathy Moola Mantra Trisathi Homam. At 10:30am the temple performs Special Abhishegam and Sadosahobachara Deeparathanai, followed at 12:30pm by a procession within the Siva temple.
The afternoon turns to the immersion itself: Visarjana Ganapathy Puja at 2:00pm, then at 2:30pm a procession leaves the temple for Stanwell Park Beach, where the Visarjan takes place at 3:15pm.
Cultural programmes run alongside the rituals, and the temple also holds a sale of vasthrams used by the deities. The temple asks devotees to check timings at the temple for these additional items.
