About This Event
Sri Venkateswara Temple at Helensburgh holds Special Pooja for Sri Saraswathi with Akshrabyasam on Monday 19 October 2026 at 10:30 am.
Akshrabyasam is the traditional initiation into letters, in which young children are formally started on their education under the goddess of learning. It is one of the most family-oriented days in the Navaratri calendar. The pooja falls between the temple's Durga Homam on Sunday 18 October and Vijayadasami with Vidyarambham on Tuesday 20 October.
SVT Helensburgh is one of the largest Hindu temples in the southern hemisphere.
