About This Event
Adelaide Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav (ASGS Inc.) returns for its 15th year with a free two-day public Ganeshotsav at The Ballroom Function Centre in Hindmarsh. Both days run from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm, on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026.
The programme across the weekend covers Ganesh Sthapana (installation of the idol), the Miravnuk procession, Aarti, live Dhol Tasha and cultural performances by the local community. Shivgarjana Adelaide is the event partner for the dhol-tasha pathak, and the festival is supported by the Government of South Australia through the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.
Entry is free and the whole family is welcome. Traditional Indian dress is encouraged. The Ballroom Function Centre is an indoor venue at 66 Orsmond Street, Hindmarsh, a short walk from the Adelaide Entertainment Centre tram stop, with on-street parking around Orsmond Street.
