About This Event
Open Garba is a three-night Navratri celebration of dance, devotion and dandiya at Bonython Park, presented by The Jivan Shilp School, Adelaide (The Hindu School SA). It runs on Friday 16, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2026, with each night booked as its own session from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
Each night brings garba and dandiya on the floor, live DJ music, food stalls and a family-friendly atmosphere for all ages. The organisers describe it as a proudly non-alcoholic event - a safe, clean and mindful environment for families and children - and frame the three nights as a way to pass the tradition on to the next generation.
Tickets are sold through TryBooking: $8 general admission for one night, $20 for a three-night pass, $20 for a family pass (2 adults + 2 children) for one night, and $140 for a group of 20 for one night. Children under 5 enter free. All three nights were still showing as available at the time of checking.
Bonython Park is open parkland on the north-western edge of the Adelaide CBD, off Livestrong Pathway, with free parking off Port Road and Park Terrace and an easy walk from the Adelaide Entertainment Centre tram stop. Questions can be sent to the organiser through the contact form on the TryBooking event page.
