About the event

The Canberra India Council presents 'India in the City' as part of the National Multicultural Festival 2026. This annual showcase brings the best of Indian culture to Canberra's city centre with live music, classical and Bollywood dance performances, and cultural displays at the Petrie Plaza Stage.

The National Multicultural Festival

The 28th edition of Canberra's iconic free three-day festival (Feb 6-8) showcases over 170 multicultural communities with 260+ food and cultural stalls and 250+ performances across six stages.
