About This Event
The National Indian Film Festival of Australia (NIFFA) returns to Dendy Canberra for its most dynamic edition yet, showcasing more than 32 films across 18 Indian languages.
From 9 to 12 April 2026, NIFFA presents Australian, International, and World Premieres across a bold program of contemporary cinema, independent voices, and standout storytelling from across India.
Highlights include:
- Opening Night Feature Film: BOONG (Manipuri, Drama) on Friday 10 April
- Closing Night Feature Film: TIGHEE (Marathi, Drama) on Sunday 12 April
- Films in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, English, Manipuri, Odia, Sikkemese, Assamese, Rajasthani, Rongmei and more
- Red carpets, filmmaker conversations, and special events
NIFFA is produced in partnership with the Australian Centre for Indian Cinema and Indian media giant NDTV. Tickets range from $17 to $55 per screening.
