About This Event

The Australian String Quartet joins vocalist Parvyn for an evening where classical Indian raga meets soul and jazz.

Parvyn - of Sikh Punjabi heritage, and formerly of The Bombay Royale - brings Punjabi music, sitar and Indian classical vocal traditions into collaboration with one of Australia's leading string quartets. The result is a fusion programme that moves between raga, soul and jazz across a single set.

Presented in the Primrose Potter Salon at the Melbourne Recital Centre.
