Spirit of Diwali Melbourne 2026

Celebrating its 5th year, Spirit of Diwali Melbourne is one of Australia's premier Diwali shopping and cultural celebrations, bringing together businesses, artisans, entrepreneurs and the community under one roof. The organisers describe it as curated shopping, festive fashion, jewellery, home decor, gourmet food, cultural performances and family entertainment in a vibrant celebration of Indian culture — this year themed "5 Years of Desi Bling".

The Grand Ballroom floor is organised into six areas: festive fashion (designer ethnic wear, contemporary festive outfits and accessories for the whole family); jewellery and accessories (handcrafted pieces, statement jewellery and festive collections); Diwali gifting (curated gifts, premium hampers, personalised keepsakes); home decor and festive living (diyas, candles, rangoli, pooja essentials, home furnishings); food and sweet delights (authentic Indian cuisine, traditional mithai, dry fruits, snacks and chocolates); and beauty, wellness and lifestyle brands. Live entertainment runs throughout the day — cultural performances, music, dance and kids' activities.

Entry is free with an RSVP, and VIP shopping hours run from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The festival is founded and curated by Niddhi K Taluja of Spirit Evnts, an NIFT alumna, who created Spirit of Diwali to bring people together through traditions, entertainment, shopping, food and family experiences while supporting local businesses.
