Bought Lay’s chips from this Indian grocery in Midland on 18/Jan/2026. I also bought a few other products along with it and those were fine, but the chips were EXPIRED and I only noticed it while eating. And this is not just expired by 2–3 month it was more than 6 months past the date. That’s not a small mistake, that’s pure negligence. What makes it even worse is that it was NOT even kept in a clearance/discount section. If it was clearly marked as clearance, customers can decide. But selling expired food like normal stock is unacceptable. We are paying customers, not begging for free items. At least give products that are safe and within date. Customer service was also horrible. The girl at the counter had a rude attitude, didn’t respond properly, and when I asked her to serve sweets she simply ignored me with an attitude face. After reading past date reviews, now I understand this is not a one-time issue it’s a pattern. Avoid this store. Dont twist.trying to cover it up by saying it’s “MFD date but the packet clearly shows Best Before: 19/01/25. I bought it on 18/Jan/2026. Instead of accepting the mistake, they’re giving excuses. Completely irresponsible and unsafe.

Very disappointing experience The product quality is extremely poor. I bought an item from the store and it broke on the very first use. When I went back, the owner said it is not their responsibility to check the quality of products they display, and that they only sell them. There was no replacement, no refund, and not even an apology for the inconvenience. This shows a complete lack of customer care and accountability. Add on: I bought a mortar and pestle for $29.99 AUD, and it broke on the very first use. When I raised the issue, the owner had the audacity to say it’s not his responsibility to check the quality of the products he sells. His exact words were: “Then it’s your responsibility as the customer to check before buying.” This is completely unacceptable. Selling low-quality products and refusing to take any responsibility is pathetic. No apology, no solution, just total disregard for customers. Avoid this place at all costs. Please note Add on: For your reply comment Marble mortar and pestles are meant to be used, not kept as fragile display items. If a kitchen product breaks on its very first normal use, that is not “customer damage” — that is defective quality. No one in your shop warned me that the item would break on first use. No one said it was “only for display.” You happily took $29.99 AUD and only changed your story after the product failed. Saying “it’s not our responsibility” is not business policy — it is poor ethics and zero customer care. A responsible seller checks what they sell. Passing the blame to customers for your low-quality stock is disgraceful. You didn’t offer: • a replacement • a refund • an apology Instead, you chose to threaten me with “laws” and “fake review” claims rather than accept accountability. That speaks volumes about your character and your business values. I even returned the broken item to you. Yet you still refused to acknowledge your fault. The issue is not the money — it is the rude, dismissive and arrogant way you spoke to me. From your own reviews, it is very clear who is telling the truth here. I came to understand from other customer reviews that , you sell cheap quality products at high prices and show no respect for customers. One basic thing every entrepreneur must learn is customer service. You have completely failed in that. I strongly recommend people avoid this store. This business is only interested in money and does not care about customers at all.

This is by far one of the worst stores I have ever visited. They sell cheap, low-quality products at ridiculously high prices, and to make it even worse, they are selling expired food items. That alone shows how little they care about customers’ health and safety. When we tried to raise an issue politely, instead of taking responsibility, they blamed us and refused to accept any fault. No apology, no solution, just arrogance and excuses. This is not how a business should treat people. This place is all about money, not honesty, not quality, and definitely not customers. They have zero accountability and zero respect. Do yourself a favour: do NOT shop here. Save your money, your time, and your peace of mind. If we are “lying,” then explain why you personally called my wife and threatened her to delete her review. If you are truly not guilty, you would not need to pressure or intimidate customers to silence them. We have all the proof of purchase receipt p, photos of the broken mortar and pestle , screenshots of your replies to our review and to other customers, evidence that the mortar and pestle was returned to you and you happily accepted it. Now you are changing your story. First you accepted the broken item, and now you are asking for photos and saying we “never showed” proof. That is a direct contradiction. There will also be CCTV footage in your shop that shows we came back and returned the broken mortar and pestle to you. If that footage is missing or deleted, that itself raises serious questions and will need to be explained.Your replies to many customers show the same behaviour — blame, denial, and threats instead of accountability . Do not threaten us with “legal action” to scare us into deleting honest reviews. We stand by what we wrote and we stand by our evidence. If you truly believe we are wrong, then take legal action — we are fully prepared to defend ourselves and present our proof. Do not call us again or try to pressure us to remove our reviews. We will not delete anything. Your response has only confirmed the truth of our experience and your attitude toward customers.

I had a great experience at Indian Grocery Store Midland thanks to AK. His customer service was exceptional—friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring. He went out of his way to assist me and made sure I found everything I needed. It’s rare to see such dedication and a positive attitude. AK truly made my shopping experience more pleasant. Highly recommend this store, especially if you’re lucky enough to be helped by AK!
