About This Event
Bombay Velvet Perth returns with the 12th edition of its Annual '90s & '00s Bollywood Flashback Party, held on Saturday 15 August 2026 to coincide with Indian Independence Day. Doors are at 9:30 PM and the night runs through to 3:00 AM in the main arena of Metro City Concert Club on Roe Street, Northbridge — a room with a capacity in excess of 2,000, so there is plenty of dance floor.
The music policy is strictly 1990s and 2000s Bollywood, Indipop and urban throwbacks — no current-chart filler. The night is hosted by MixtaBishi, a long-running name in Australian desi entertainment, alongside the Bombay Velvet team: DJ Karma, DJ Vibez, ElectroSim and more, with live dhol from Dholi Gugz (DholBySaj).
Tickets are $30 through Megatix and it is worth booking early. This is an 18+ event and physical photo ID is essential — a current Australian photo driver's licence or a passport; digital ID is not accepted. There are no passouts and no re-entry once you leave. Intoxicated patrons will not be admitted, and thongs, slides and steel-cap boots are not permitted. Crowd surfing, stage diving, moshing and violent dancing will get you removed. Some areas of the venue are not accessible, so contact Metro City directly about accessibility requirements. Management reserves the right to refuse entry.
