PRAAZ : "Harmony in Diversity" brings together established musicians to perform original, cross-cultural music composed by Praaz (Praashekh Borkar). Praaz is a Hindustani Sarod player with over 28 years of global performance experience and will feature both the traditional Sarod and his invented Esarod.
Original compositions blending Hindustani raga traditions with jazz sensibilities.
Ensemble includes a wide variety of instruments: Sarod, Esarod, Tabla, Didgeridoo, Drums, Darbouka, Thammattama and more.
Emphasis on multicultural collaboration and sonic fusion.
An intimate, performance-driven concert showcasing improvisation and structured compositions.
Rich rhythmic textures and cross-genre arrangements appealing to fans of world music and jazz.
A chance to hear unique instrumentation and the Esarod, an instrument invented by the composer.
The project focuses on demonstrating "harmony in diversity" through interweaving musical traditions and instruments.
