Indian New Year celebrations across Australia — Bollywood nights, desi countdown parties, and community gatherings.
New Year's Day 2027 is on Friday 1 January 2027 — in about 12 weeks
New Year's Eve falls the night before, on Thursday 31 December 2026.
The desi countdown parties are the 31 December night, not the 1st. New Year's Day falling on a Friday gives the 2026/27 season a three-night run.
