About This Event
Dandiya Night 2026 is the Navratri garba night inside the Mithila Cultural Society Australia's Mithila Mahotsav weekend, running 5:00pm to 9:00pm on Sunday 18 October 2026 at Quakers Hill Community Centre, 7 Lalor Rd, Quakers Hill.
Music comes from a live DJ backed by the pulse of traditional dhol. Garba and Dandiya Raas are taught and danced through the evening alongside hundreds of other participants, so first-timers are as welcome as experienced dancers. The hall is dressed around a large, intricately detailed Durga Maa shrine and a temple-style backdrop. There is a Best Dressed competition for those in traditional attire, and free prasad is handed out as a spiritual offering.
Tickets are $15 early bird and $20 general admission per person plus the Humanitix booking fee, with a $0 'Donate to Maa Durga on Durga Puja Preparation' option for people who would rather contribute. Refunds are available up to 30 days before the event.
The night sits inside MCSA's three-day Durga Puja and Mithila Mahotsav at the same venue (17-19 October), so dandiya follows that day's puja, Kanya Pujan, aarti and prasad distribution. Contact the organiser.
